Raccoons are omnivorous. They willl eat fruits and vegetables, crayfish, insects, birds, eggs, small rabbits, nuts, grain, and carrion.
Raccoons will typically have 1 to 4 young at a time after a gestation period of 59-63 days Weaned at 7 weeks, juveniles will typically establish themselves up to 75 miles away after their first year.

Relationship with Humans
Raccoons are amoung the most successful wild animals at adapting to urban environments. While their curiosity may entice them to tip over trash cans and annoy home-owners, raccoons, generally coexist comfortably with man.
