Ringtailed lemurs have grey bodies with white fur on the inner ear, forehead, cheeks, chin, chest and stomach. The hands and feet are black and there tails are grey with black stripes.

Ring-tailed lemurs are vegitarians, eating fruit, leaves, bark, and tree sap.
Lemurs will typically have one child at a time, after a gestation period of 4.5 months. Young are carried on the mother's stomach for approximately 3 weeks before migrating to her back. At approximately 1 month the young begin walking and the entire social group aids in the upbringing.
